The Significant Events team has planned dozens of weddings at Donovan Manor. In fact, we were the first to execute a wedding at this beloved Raleigh wedding venue when it was opening in the Fall of 2024! We are recommended time and time again to plan weddings for our clients here. As a result, we’ve come to learn the ins and outs of what it’s like hosting your wedding at Donovan Manor, and we’re here to share the inside scoop!

Donovan Manor’s commitment to a consistent, high quality experience for their couples is one of the many reasons why we love working at Donovan Manor. As North Carolina wedding planners with over 10 years of experience in this industry, we have worked with many venues across the state, and this venue has some of the most top notch staffing we have ever seen. Not only do they have a strong sales team with smooth business processes, but they are also very hands on and supportive with all of their vendors. As a result, we always love working with clients at Donovan Manor. We know what to expect, and we know our clients will have a true white-glove experience that matches our own.
Furthermore, Donovan Manor makes it easy for couples to plan their wedding without having to search for quality vendors. With in-house bar and catering, couples can quickly check two more major vendors off their list when booking their venue. After booking, couples are smoothly connected with other amazing wedding vendors in the area and guided through a process that allows them to feel well taken care of leading up to their wedding day.
Finally, we love that Donovan Manor has great options for a rain plan. While the rose garden is beautiful for an outdoor wedding, there are also many wonderful indoor options. You may choose to flip the ballroom, or host your ceremony in the Trestle Lounge. All options are fabulous and aesthetically pleasing, leaving couples just as happy with their “plan b” when it rains.

Donovan Manor is well designed. The same family that owns Donovan’s Dish catering owns Donovan Manor. Therefore, the team that built and designed this venue already has had many years in the wedding industry. Therefore, fine details were taken into account in the design of the estate.
When you tour Donovan Manor, you will notice those fine details. One includes the exceptionally planned dressing suites. The masculine suite features frosted windows to protect the accident of sneaking before a couples’ first look! The feminine suite takes over the entire second floor of the manor house. It has everything a wedding party needs including showers, a hair and makeup room with exceptional lighting, and a breakfast room for early mornings arriving with your glam squad.

The versatility of this venue is another aspect that makes it special. It was designed to be versatile for hosting your various events across the property. No matter the size of your wedding, you are sure to have a beautiful location to hose all of your celebrations.
The Manor House is the iconic street view of Donovan Manor. This home was the only thing on the property when the venue began, and the rest of the event spaces were designed around it. While the Manor House primarily serves as home to the wedding party while getting ready, it can also accommodate smaller events of up to 50 guests.
The front of the Manor House is an iconic photo moment. You may want to take a drone image of the bride upstairs with the groom on the front porch. Or you may choose to host your ceremony on the front stairs around the fountain. Either way, this will be the first thing your guests see when they arrive to your wedding. With in-house parking staff and a paved circle drive, guests will be able to arrive to your wedding with a great first impression.

Also known as the rose garden, the Infinity Garden is couples’ favorite place to have an outdoor ceremony. With artificial turf and intentional landscaping, this space is beautiful year-round. The roses throughout the garden are professionally managed by the robust landscaping team at the venue so you will never be disappointed by the blooms you’ll be surrounded with while you tie the knot.
If you choose to host your ceremony elsewhere, the Infinity Garden is also a beautiful space to host a cocktail hour or an intimate dinner. This space is especially beautiful in the evening if you add some string lights overhead. Whatever you plan to host in this space, you’ll be sure to be proud of the gardens and color of your surroundings.

Fun fact – the great oak tree to the right of the Manor House was the original plan for the ceremony location at Donovan Manor. However, the idea for the Infinity Garden brought the venue to another level. Nevertheless, this space is still well-loved by all that host their wedding there. If you prefer a more natural landscape, you may choose to host your ceremony beneath the shade of this beautiful tree, with a view of a trestle bridge and wetlands behind you.
This space is also off the beaten path, which makes for a great option to have your first look with your honey before you walk down the aisle. Couples love the privacy of this area as they exchange letters, a prayer, or private vows.

The Courtyard is comprised of a herringbone brick patio between the Manor House and the main ballroom of the venue. When the weather is great, couples often choose to host their cocktail hour here. After your ceremony, guests will be greeted with passed specialty cocktails right at the entrance of the courtyard. And, when they’re ready for a refill, the venue has a beautiful outdoor bar installed in the space.
If the weather is less than ideal, the venue has in-house rentals that can help make your guests more comfortable. If you’re worried about the temperature as your guests enjoy the courtyard, be sure to ask your venue manager about renting their in-house fire pits, umbrellas, or patio heaters. That way your guests will be able to enjoy the beautiful meadows of the property while also staying comfortable throughout the festivities.

This versatile space of the venue is a sneak peek of the grandeur of the ballroom. The Trestle Lounge is a great space that couples can choose to make their own. This is a great space for smaller intimate events. It is also a popular location for indoor ceremonies, or a couple’s plan b if the weather makes outdoor options unavailable.
The most popular use of this space is for cocktail hour. Couples often choose to host cocktail hour under the crystal chandeliers in this space. With nooks that are perfect for a lounge set, and mobile bars ready to serve cocktails, this space can truly be made your own without too much effort.

With a capacity of up to 300, Feore Hall is the grand finale of Donovan Manor. This iconic space stuns guest with its great window, luxury designer chandeliers, detailed crown molding, and the perfect aesthetic that gives couples just enough of a blank slate to make it their own. If you have a larger guest count, we can guarantee you’ll be excited to host your wedding in here. The acoustics are great for a live band, and a full equipped nearby catering kitchen ensures the Donovan’s Dish team can work quickly and professionally to serve your guests.
On a beautiful day, you can open the accordion doors to expose the Meadow-view Terrace – an extended patio off of the ballroom for guests to get a breath of fresh air. Additionally, your bar services can smoothly transition to your reception with a built in bar that opens on both sides.

If you plan on booking Donovan Manor for your wedding. As a team that has executed both full service wedding planning and wedding coordination at this venue, we have a lot of experience at this venue. Here are some things you should know before booking your big day here:
Even though this venue is fairly new, Donovan Manor has already become wildly popular. In 2025 alone, they hosted over 100 weddings. With options to book your wedding any day of the week, couples have been jumping to host their wedding here. Therefore, dates quickly become limited. If you have your eye on this luxury venue, prepare to make a decision quickly and be flexible with the date you have in mind.
When you book at Donovan Manor, you are securing more than just the roof over your head. You are also committing to their in-house bar services and Donovan’s Dish for catering. Therefore, you should ensure that you are confident in those services as well. While Donovan’s Dish food is exceptional, be sure to review this caterer ahead of time to ensure you are comfortable with committing to your food and beverage as well! Here’s a peek at their menu in case you want to see what you’re getting into.
When you book at Donovan Manor, you will be given a preferred vendor list. Depending on when you book, this list may be different as relationships at the venue are always evolving. Some of these are simple recommendations, while others are required. For example, you must choose a florist from the list at Donovan Manor. You may not select a vendor outside of their florist list as their venue policy. All other vendors you bring to the table will also need to be vetted and approved by the venue. To make this process easier, you may consider hiring a full service wedding planner before booking at the venue to ensure you are following all of the policies and standards of quality set by the venue.
Because this venue hosts multiple events in a single week, there are also clear access times to ensure everything runs smoothly. These access times change depending on the day you book. In general, access for hair and makeup occurs between 9-10 am, and access for vendor set up on the day of is at noon. Depending on the size of your wedding party, you may need to purchase additional hours of access time, or you may need to start hair and makeup away from the property. Furthermore, if you have a very in-depth design, you may need to discuss an earlier access time for your vendors to being setting up. Be sure to discuss these considerations with your planner and your venue to ensure everyone has plenty of time without feeling rushed throughout the day.

The cost of a wedding at Donovan Manor is dependent on many factors. These include your guest count, design, and season or day of the week you plan on getting married. The good news is that Donovan Manor offers several packages so you can enjoy this luxury venue at any budget. For example, if you’re obsessed with the venue but aren’t into a huge wedding, you may choose to book an elopement day. This is through their their “Meet me at the Manor” experience.
This venue fee includes all of the spaces across the property with standard access times. If you require additional access times or special accommodations, you may need to purchase more hours. Furthermore, this fee includes all of their in house tables, chairs, and standard furniture such as the mobile bar. If you require more specialty in-house items such as umbrellas or heaters, this is subject to additional charges.
Finally, be aware that the cost of food and beverage is outside of the venue fee. When you book the venue, you are also committing to booking your catering services through Donovan’s Dish. For bar, you are committing to Donovan Manor’s in house bar service and are subjected to a minimum bar fee. If cost is a concern of yours, ask for bar and catering pricing ahead of time. Here are a few of our favorite real weddings at Donovan Manor planned and designed by Significant Events!

We transformed the ballroom with draping for a grand ceremony in front of the windows. Then, we flipped to dinner and dancing in the same space. Be sure to also check out the coffee hour we set up in the Trestle Lounge!
A cigar bar, custom monograms throughout, and a popping dance floor with a custom dance floor wrap. We had so much fun with Erica and CJ for their beautiful fall wedding! Check out their stage with unique florals in the infinity garden.

This quirky couple had the perfect balance of design and personality on their wedding day. The design had a fun mix of round and long tables and a unique patterned linen. The many candles had Feore Hall glowing when we revealed the space to the bride and groom.
A chic, colorful summer wedding at Donovan Manor. We absolutely loved the unique floral arrangements mixed with rattan elements. It was a hot day in August. Therefore, the couple chose to include umbrellas in the garden to keep their guests comfortable as they tied the knot.

An extra special wedding day that we planned in just a couple months. Brandi and Brett originally had plans to tie the knot in Italy. But when Brandi’s mom was diagnosed with cancer, they had to pivot, and Donovan Manor was available to support them. We were honored to help Brandi and Brett make this day happen.
Needless to say, we know the drill at Donovan Manor. You might have your eye on this beautiful estate in North Carolina. If so, we’d be honored to support you with your wedding planning. Inquire with us here!
